This is a one of a kind, 1982 GMC S10 Body Style. This is the "Real" S-10, complete truck was Custom Built by Faerman Racing Engines in Houston. There is well over $ 50,000 invested in this incredible street truck which took over two years to build, and driven less than 100 miles sense its completion. This truck has never been raced. But it is a complete "Blast" to drive, and "Very, Very" fast. There are way to many "Best of the Best" parts to list but here's my best effort:
Starting with the Body, there was a complete frame off restoration. The truck was lowered 2" with custom spindles, large sway bar at front of truck. Front brakes are "Baer" slotted and drilled with 4 piston Calipers, hooked up with steel braided lines. Over sized rear drum brakes, Cal-trac traction control, Moroso drag race shocks, Custom aluminum cross-member, Roll-Bar mounted to frame connections, "Corbeau" Racing bucket seats, "Corbeau" 5 point harnesses. Mag wheels with "Nitto" street drag race slicks, with two extra matching street tires with two extra mag wheels. 6 Total wheels and tires.
The complete wiring harness was custom built by Faerman Racing, two weeks of work. Dash gauges are "Aeromotive Lunar Indiglow" mounted in custom aluminum insert.
Detachable face Sony CD player with fantastic sound. The truck is controlled by an Accel DFI computer ($6000.00) which has hook up for laptop inside the truck, so it can be tuned by the passenger while you drive.
Rear End is ford 9 inch custom built to fit this truck, with Richmond 488 gears, real Posi-track, Moser Axels, Pro Stock Aluminum drive shaft made by Mark Williams, the best in the country. “U” joints are oversized and the best you can buy. Custom Painted Black rear end with clear coat. All held in with giant “U” bolts over the rear end.
Transmission is a 700 R-4, 4 speed automatic, but designed to shift. Built by one of the best shops in the country, with a 3200 stall converter, and ATF flywheel hooks it up to the engine. B & M Slap Shifter with special oversized cable for long life. This transmission will let you know when it changes gears!
The engine, a 383 Stroker motor, also has the best of everything, “Callies” has many stroker kits, but this is there very best they sell. “Dragon Slayer Crank”, “H” Beam Rods with “ARP” Bolts, and “Coated Pistons” with “Splade Hardened 4 Bolt Main Caps”. Complete assembly has been balanced. Scorpion Roller Rocker Arms, which are better than Crane, I have both types. Hydraulic Roller Camshaft, custom ground to Dennis Faermans specs. Valve springs, Valves, and keepers are all the best. Aluminum Heads have been custom ported and polished, and flow tested to achieve maximum results! Held on by an ARP stud kit. The High flow Edlebrock manifold has also been ported to match the ported heads. To top it off is a “BBK” Plus Huge throttle body. The Aluminum Oil filter is custom made lifetime piece which adds HP, sits next to the engine, hooked up with steel braided lines. Ceramic coated, inside and out, Hedman custom made headers, expensive. Bosch Electric Fuel Pump, with Aeromotive Fuel Regulator, and hooked together by steel braided lines. Front of crank has Fluid Dampener, with double roller cam chain, and chrome cover. Engine produces 500 HP and over 530 Foot pounds of torque, it will get you attention!
There are too many custom made special aluminum brackets and parts in this truck to list.
Engine runs on Premium Pump gas mixed with 104 octane racing fuel 50/50 mix. Truck has classic Car tags and are good thru 3/2013. No inspection sticker ever needed. Dual Exhaust is 2 & ½ inch all the way out the rear. Everything works great, Horn, signals, wipers, no expense was spared, interior is completely new custom made, this was intended to be a show truck. It turned out to be simply the finest S-10 in the country.
Look everywhere, you won’t this quality again.
