His car slowed down this last Friday, but the weather was horrible. My car slowed down due to the weather. Either way, he should have picked up something. He only went 128 MPH, he wouldnt tell me what his ET was, but we all know how little power it takes to go 128 MPH in the 1/4 with 2600 lbs.

What kinda setup are you running???? How much RPM are you spinnig ? If you would rather reply in PMs, I can hold a secret. I only want to know becuase my friend and I constantly argue over whether that big of a head work on a small block. He went out like a retard and bought some Performer RPM (190c...

Your needle valve is stuck open. Happens to me like twice a week. If you are unsure of what it is... ON the very front of your carb there is the big flat head screw, with the hex nut under it. Unscrew the hex, and pull it out. That is your needle valve. The brass nipple at the very bottom should dro...

Ok, the plugs are a little too cold. I have switched the plugs in and out of the other cylinders. It is a street car, it only pops in the number 7 cylinder when i accelerate, and the #8 will pop whenever, idling or accelerating. It has 3" exhaust with bullet mufflers, and pipes that turn out be...

Plug Fouling

I am havin some issues with my plugs fouling with raw fuel. The awesome twist is that its only cylinders #7 and #8 that are doing it. It will pop back through the mufflers... but the weird part is that I can drive it for 20 mins with no problems, though I can tell it loads a little at idle, and then...

A carb that flows 830 CFM is for big boys (406+) unless your combo is radical.

As far as the RPM range, I have two thoughts... 1. Just because the cam is advertised to make power in a certain range, doenst mean it will. My cam is advertised to make power from 4700-8800, and I shift at 6400. The smaller cam you are talking about using will make GREAT torque though. I would call...

Call comp, and tell them what your goals are, what your setup is, what kind of car etc.. and let them do it for you. IMO that cam isnt gonna get you where you need to be, but if its degreed correctly it might. My buddy had a ford 408, with 205 heads and a cam about that size and it worked for him, s...

Had the same problem with an 18* 434. The Trick Flow heads and GM intake werent getting along at all. We just elongated the holes, and all was well.

I am in 1,000% agreeance with stroker. Custom cam is the best way to go. Then after you get that, call Patrick James at Pro Systems and have your carb custom built too.

Good luck
