I agree. There needs to be a few rules for the house to obide by. Tires only have so much rubber and anyone can force someone to do a b/o till it pops. Lets see what the motors and trans can do, not the tires. :lol:

I have a 69 nova ( for street and strip use)on the build with a 4.56 gear in the rear, 28 tall tire and i will be building a 422 sbc for it and i am hoping for 550 t0 600 hp. i am putting a 9 inch housing under a 69 nova and want to get the perches welded on so i can move the car around. how hard is it to move the front over ? is there a kit or do u have to fab something up ? Beyond and I both have the same setup regarding moving the leaf spring inboard, we both used the CE weld in frame connector which has a leaf spring pocket built in it. However you will have to fab something up...

if its anything like my 69 nova. They will not fit without serious mods. My car is mini tubbed ( and lowered)and will not fitt 275/50s unless i relocated the leafs. I tried a pair of m/t et streets on a 10 inch rim that a friend let me borrow and they did not fit. I have 275/60/15 et streets on a 10...

i to believe it would be stronger. That is how we did my last 72 nova pro-street.

This might be a bit much to ask but here it goes. Does anyone know what length rear end i would need to put under my 69 nova with a 10 inch rim with a 4.5 backspace and a 275/60/15 m/t drag radial. I have a nice set of wheels from another project but dont have tires yet to get an acurate measurement...
