I do know for a fact that you can go deep into the 8's with a 496, double cross plate, flat top pistons, low buck short deck two bolt main motor and it's likely it'll live for at least several years if all goes w...

Re: Help with rear coil selection

Rear coil-over springs will fit the stock gbody spring buckets. If it were mine I would try a 12" 130- 150lbs or a 14"110-130lbs, depending on weight and the ride height you want. Malibu racing .com has a suspension tech section also. There is some good info here: http://www.maliburacing.co...

Re: Front shimmy on touchdown

We have an '85 firebird & 75 nova that had the same problem. We added a "shimmie" shock that helped tremendously. It's kinda 4 wheel drive technology, but works.

Re: How to improve vehicle reaction time

Raise front air pressure
Raise rear air pressure (if it will hook with more)
Raise launch rpm
Roll in a little deeper
Switch to a radial slick or drag radial
anti roll bar if it's stock style 4- link

Re: Methanol maintenence for s/c dragster

Barry We squirt a little gas in each ventury spin it over to suck it in then imediatly sguirt a little more then get it spinning & flip the ignition switch. We just bump the fuel pump to make sure the bowls are full & leave it off until after the engine is running. So it's: Starter Ignition ...

Re: Methanol maintenence for s/c dragster

We've always primed with gas for the first start up of the day.We prime with gas & spin it over with the ignition off , prime again & get it spinning then throw the ignition switch on, fires every time & don't kick back on the starter.
