Just something to think about.
I used to run the older MT drag radials (275's), loved them. They had great traction and rode nice. They did not however last long on the street so i have since moved to ET streets (non-radials). They last much longer but do not ride as nice as the radials.

Re: Minitubbing the Ventura!!
Sweet launches! I am going with the bigger tire because i do some street racing and hooking small tires is tough on the street. I also like the look of the wide tires. I am thinking of putting in the 3.23 gears i have VS using the 3.73's that are in their now.

Re: open trailer question
I just redecked my open trailer and used pressure treated 2x10's. Worked great.
I had asked around and alot of people suggested Douglas Fir with a few oil coatings.
Treated is much easier and cleaner.

Re: When is it too cold to race?
Up here they close tracks due to cool temps and snow mostly (usually results in low car/fan counts, lol). Both tracks within a 3hr radius of me are closed at the end of sept. http://www.racesir.com/ http://www.castrolraceway.com/modules.php?name=Events_Schedule Today we are starting to warmup for a ...

Re: street car traction
What size?
Its tough to get good traction on the street with any tire, the MTDR's help but its still a crapshoot at times.

Re: Nitrous bottle heaters
I was just going to use a bottle blanket heater with a pressure switch to turn it on and off.
Not sure if the blanket style heater will get it hot enough? Have not installed it yet.

Re: Redneck Performance
The pontiac folks have used many redneck convertors, mostly good things i have heard.
I run continental and many think they are close to equivalent in performance althought the rednecks seem to slip a tad more.
