Re: Rancho RS 9000 shocks

I believe the part number is RS 99204, but I could confirm when I got home.

Yes they are adjustable...9-way adjustable.

Rancho RS 9000 shocks

Anyone looking for a set of Rancho RS 9000 shocks?? They were on my 76 Pontiac Ventura and I only ran them one summer which gave them very little use. I got a heck of a deal on a set of double adjustables so I jumped on them and the Rancho's are just sitting there in a box. Let me know if anyone is ...

Re: SHOCKS

I have a set of Rancho shocks that I got from Calvert that I'm not using anymore. I got a great deal on Afco double adjustable's so I couldn't pass the deal up. Let me know if you are interested. Respond back here or msg me.

Re: Looking for some advice!

biltit--It would be nice to run bigger headers, just havent had good luck finding ones that will fit the chassis with a big block olds in it. I have been told that ones from the 64-72 A body will fit, but I'm not 100% sure and I have also heard that ones from a 65-76 delta 88 would fit with no modif...

Re: Looking for some advice!

sc racing--the car weighs right around 3600 with me in it I think. biltit--the carb has a power valve in the front...4.5. In the rear is doesn't have one. We started with jets that were higher in number but it was lean and really through the A/F ratio off. Where we have the jets now got the A/F rati...

Re: Looking for some advice!

I think there is a .042" head gasket on the car right now. I would have to dig my sheets up to double check on that one for sure though. I have thought about a thinner gasket to bump up the compression ratio also and since the motor will be out soon it would be an easy time to do that for sure....

Re: Looking for some advice!

supernova--thanks for the response. The idea of a 4.30 gear was something for sure that I might have to lean towards. My buddy and I are going to pull the motor soon to replace the pan gasket and we have been thinking about a cam swap so that's why I wanted to get everything ironed out now so we hav...

Re: Looking for some advice!

Hey guys! Thanks for the responses so far. mytmouz--to start answering your questions it just seems the car is sluggish all over. I thought I would be expecting this thing to really set me back in the seat right off the line, but it doesnt seem to be that way. I mean it does throw you back a little,...

Looking for some advice!

Hey everyone! I'm looking for some advice on what to do with my current combo. I have been to the track with it a few times and the times havent been what I thought they would be. I was able to take it to a chassis dyno to get the car dialed in with timing, setting the carb up and knowing what the n...

Re: Oil Leak

Thanks for all the input. I will be draining out in the morning when I get home from work and installing a new filter. Cross my fingers and hope it goes back to normal. Maybe that Royal Purple is just too thin or maybe the different weight caused it to act up.

Thanks again!

Re: Oil Leak

BILTIT: Just came in from checking the area's you had mentioned it leaked on yours....mine was dry in all those area's. I didn't notice anything different in cold/hot pressures as it measured what the Rotella would. supernova: When I removed the old filter the gasket came off with it and when the ne...

Re: Oil Leak

Hey guys! BILTIT: I have checked the dipstick tube and the area on the block. Everything was nice and dry. CoMax Racing: I checked the oil filter gasket and it was intact. Any chance going from the 15w40 rotella to the 20w50 synthetic royal purple could be the issue? You had mentioned about the diff...

Oil Leak

Hey everyone! I'm looking to get some input here as something strange just popped up since I changed oil. I normally run Rotella 15w40 in my 496, but for some reason I changed to Royal Purple XPR 20w50 synthetic racing oil. The issue that I'm having now is when I take it for a ride and get on it or ...
