Re: Dodge Master Cylinders
There was a factory defect with my master...a tiny ridge around the circumference of the hole right before the seat that the rod kept on hanging up on. Had to do a mad thrash yesterday and re-install my old master to make the race today. Might be able to just touch a drill bit inside and take the ri...

Re: Dodge Master Cylinders
I can't keep the push rod fully seated in the master cylinder. It seems to want to keep popping out and I loose my pedal pressure. Don't know if the Chev rod and Dodge master are compatible?

Re: Dodge Master Cylinders
OK, so here's another one....the factory master that I removed was plumbed front port to front brakes and rear port to the rears. I've seen several photos on the net where the lines were reversed. My car has aftermarket Wilwood discs up front and factory drum rears. Does this make sense and what is ...

Re: Dodge Master Cylinders
Well, I got her done. Had to slot the holes on the new cylinder quite a bit. Didn't really enjoy standing on my head to get the strap in place, but it looks like it should work.

Re: Dodge Master Cylinders
Hey John, I hate to bug you again on this topic, but could you detail this swap. I got one of these master cylinders coming in tomorrow going into a '68 Camaro with a front Wilwood disc set-up. If you could, exactly what is slotted and what are the dimensions of your retention device? Could you show...

Max Cubes From 582
The time has come for me to freshen my engine. It's a Shafiroff 582, 9.8" low deck, 4.600" bore & 4.375" stroke. What I'm wondering is, what will the final CID be if I just change the bore (can it reach 600 cubic inches)?

Thanks. Any special modifications to get them into a non-Chrysler application?

Dodge Master Cylinders
I've heard of people using Dodge type master cylinders for their disc brake set-ups. The word is they're just like a Strange unit without the price tag. Anybody have any info on this?

Re: Carb Flooding/Squirter Size
Try replacing the N&S's. Over time the o-rings go bad, and don't seal well. Also check the floats, nitrophyl floats can go bad and soak up fuel. I would absolutely try .035 squirters as well, the calibration on that carb is already too rich at lower RPM's. That's one of the things Patrick menti...

Re: Carb Flooding/Squirter Size
Sure sounds like fuel sloshing out of the bowl vents. Do you have room to put some pieces of fuel hose on each vent to extend them up? Some people connect the bowl vents with hose that is vented at the top of the curve. Just be sure the bowls can breathe. If they can't it'll effect how it runs down...

Carb Flooding/Squirter Size
I have a custom 1204 XE Dominator built by Pro Systems for my 582 and have had this carb for 3 years. I don't race all that often, just a couple of times a season but I have a severe flooding issue. Coming out of the burnout box, I have to keep one foot on the gas revving the engine while braking wi...

Re: Wilwood Front Brake Question
A slight drag until the pads are worn down a bit? When I installed them I made sure they were centered exactly. After they were bled and applied they never seemed to release all the way causing the drag.chpcamaro wrote:with disc brakes there is always a very slight drag

Wilwood Front Brake Question
Just installed a Wilwood front disc brake conversion kit on my '68 Camaro. Is it normal for the pads to rub the rotors slightly when new?
