Re: ngk heat range on 150 shot
According to most nos kit manufacturers, they recommend to step down at least 1 heat range for a 100 - 150 shot and 2 heat ranges over 150 shot. I was running NGK R5673-7 on my 150 shot. That's what NX recommended. Problem is, i suspect what i have is too cold to start with. I don't have a good poi...

ngk heat range on 150 shot
Hello all, it's been a while. I'm new to nitrous and relatively new to the motor in my car (specs in sig). I bought the motor/trans/convertor from another buick guy who went 11.0x @122 with it, in a very similar car to mine, NA. Motor made 590ish flywheel. Engine builder told me to run 34° locked, a...

Re: carb to hood pans
yes... definitely want the wire retardant foam. the moroso kit is the kind of deal i'm looking for/ want to make, but it's not wide enough. i am running a 14x4 round and have a good top for it. the opening is about 19x19, so if thick foam, overall it would be something like 22x22".

carb to hood pans
what do you guys do for sealing a scoop or cowl to the carb. seen everything from fabbed aluminum, to Lexan, to Rubbermaid buckets (I'm not going there...). thinking maybe just a flat sheet with some 4" foam. i see Moroso has 4"x 60" for like $20 , but wouldn't make it all the way aro...

try some unfused items like the alternator and starter. diconnect the battery, then the alternator, then put In your test light.

Re: Anyone know the rates for rear chevelle moroso trick spr
Mike, thanks again... I kinda suspected that was how the length and rate was playing into it. I was just surprised at some of the super stiff springs afco listed, and thought, naaawww... I'm missing something. Apparently not. Used to play with some auto cross stuff, so I'm familiar with what spring ...

Re: Anyone know the rates for rear chevelle moroso trick spr
Mike, do you know the front dimensions as well? Just seeing the stock size for the 64-72 chevelle 8x9.5" fronts as the picture a couple posts ago, with enormous spring rates. Are the ones I want for storing more energy, longer by chance? I see some 5x11's in the 200# range...but they are listed...
