Solid bushings will bind also. I run regular ole rubber. Solid body mounts though. What is your MPH? The Finish line RPMS are fine, just perhaps not ideal for launching it, hence the spinning. You have a lot of gear, and a lot of torque. Both not needed together. Let the torque work for you. Not say...

Poly bushings usually bind up in the rear. I run 5 1/2" of travel in the front. Check your front suspension bolts and make sure they are not too tight. Tighten them with the weight on the suspension. Are the knurls ground off the upper control arm bushings? Can you pull up on the front end easi...

E-heads. Low lift cam, only .590 after lash. I wanted to run something that wouldn't eat springs. Low lift flow #'s are moderate at 320 @ .600 lift.

Tom, I use the HR bar as well. It works well. I am using the 30" Hoosier Radial slick, and I really like them. You don't need a lot of gear if you are running a true Pontiac motor. Let the torque work for you.

Just saying hello. I found your forum recently and it looks like a good one, so I joined.

I have a 69 Pontiac Lemans, Pontiac powered of course. 455CI, small solid roller motor.
