Re: rear coil over tuning help needed

I think there are a lot of racers that think that a particular 4 link / ic / a/s setting will actually pick up the car through leverage and multiply more weight to the rear tires than what the car actually weighs. If that were the case how wide would the housing brackets need to be on a top fuel / f...

Re: rear coil over tuning help needed

I know they got those electric high dollar shocks on pro stockers and I am sure they induce limited tire rotation to work with the clutch , but they also got lead weights stuck in odd places for some reason. Most people are gonna say ballast , but I don't buy it they are set at a certain place and a...

Re: rear coil over tuning help needed

Most professional built fast door cars have very little suspension movement at launch , it would have to suggest the suspension setting is close to 100% a/s and the chassis was constructed with the correct cog placement to the available power planned for the chassis would it not ? If inertia was not...

Re: ladder bar front adjustments

The suspension is trying to separate always no matter what angle the bars are set at. The squatting and anti squatting action you see between the tire and body is a product of how much weight is transferred from the force of gravity trying to hold the car in place and the power (force) of your engin...

Re: 4 link/shock setting???

My lower bar is 2* down, the bar spread is 12",,, the center of the upper bar is 4 1/2" to the center of the housing tube,, and the center of the lower bar is 7 3/4" to the center of the housing.... Now I can move the upper bar 1" closer to the axle tube and can move the lower b...

Re: 4 link/shock setting???

Billy can you show me some proof of a competition 4 link that the first reaction is not separation , video etc , something that I can actually see a 4 link go up at the first hit of power ? Something that I have not seen you address is the shock and recovery of a drag slick as a car leaves the line....

Re: 4 link/shock setting???

Remember: The closer you get to 100% antisquat, the less significant are shocks and springs. And, at 100% antisquat, the shocks and springs are just going along for the ride. All weight transfer is being carried through the links and there is no relative motion between rear axle assembly and the re...

Re: 4 link/shock setting???

So your suggestion is to lengthen the IC and try to keep it about the same height??? My lower bar is pointing down already so if I rase the top bar in the front bracket it should lower the IC also. This will also give me a lower % of anti-squat..right?? So by doing this it will reduce the hit and I...

Re: 4 link/shock setting???

The only time mine has bounced in the shut down was when my compression was on the stiff side. I guess it could do the same if the extension was to tight too ? I would say if you are having to run your extension on full tight and your compression is on 3 clicks from full loose you have to aggressive...

Are your tires getting into the tubs when you lift plenty of clearance ? How high is your ic ?
