Re: 9" Housing Ends
Well, I've started the winter upgrades a bit early this year. Planning on mini tubbing my '71 Nova and putting a 9" under it. I want to order a brake kit to get the correct hat thickness for measuring housing width. Before I order brakes, is there a preference between the Big Ford and Big Ford...

Re: Piston to head clearance?
.035 sounds a little too close...especially if your cylinders a worn any. If you get any pistons rock at TDC it could cause a problem.
I'd open it up a little. JMO.

Just spray both sides of the gasket with Copper coat and you'll be fine.

Re: electric vacuum pump
We bought a GM electric for our Top Dragster...I wouldn't waste my money on another one. My shop vac. pulls more vacuum. I'd use it but I don't have a 1/4 mile extension cord!!! Ended up buying one from MOROSO. JMO.

Re: Serious Horsepower
After two days of shoveling and some major back pain, today I went back out to finish shoveling the new 18" of snow we got on top of the 2' from the other day and I looked down the road and saw some serious horsepower coming my way. The next thing you knew, he pulled into my driveway to say hi...

Re: Wheel Base?
I am planning to do some Top Sportsman racing and hoping to run in the 7.20's to 7.30's and
in the 180 mph range. Would the 108 inch car be better than the 105 inch car? And does this
change the drivability on just the top end or both ends of the track?
THANKS

Wheel Base?
How much difference does wheel base have on a chassis? Lets say car with a wheel base
of 105 inches vs. one with 108 inches?
Thanks

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I see alot of nice cars on here. I've only had the car out once. Went to National Trail Raceway a couple of weeks ago to get my license.
