Re: father vs. son intake question

my first choice would be the bug catcher set up, but thats what i'm setting up on my blower motor. my second choice would be the ron's flying toilet as supernova said. ron's is a very simple and reliable setup and from what i've seen they are very concistant.

Re: What Happened To My Powerglide?

You can get the rear pump by removing the tailshaft housing. If I remember right the rear pump was used until 1966 then in 67 they went to the govenor support. ( I might be off on the years). My circle track glides were also manual shifted(put it in drive and take off in hi gear) and they still had ...

Re: What Happened To My Powerglide?

does your glide still have the rear pump in it? if so, check the key on the rear pump. when i ran dirt roundy round cars, we used direct drive glides with in and out valves and if the key sheared on the rear pump it did the same thing

Re: Converter......something is a miss......

Neal, if you can, mount a video camera on the roll bar looking at the tach. It's hard to get an accurate reading at speed(poor mans data logger)

Re: Redneck Performance

i have known two guys that bought the same set up from redneck, one loved the trans/converter set and one liked the trans but thought the convertor was sh!t. If it going in a lower hp street car they will most likely be just fine but like john said you get what you pay for.

Re: First time at the track.....need help

does it pick up after you lift the throttle? I would start with checking the plugs/gap then check float levels on carb, I can't help but wonder if the primary float is to high and sloshing out at launch.

Re: First time in new car.......

I think that sounds like a good plan. I would definitly foot brake a couple 1/8 mile hits before running it out the back door. Have a safe trip down to Oklahoma and hope the weather holds for you on Sunday.
