Re: Having problem with N20 wiring.
Attached you will find a wiring diagram that I created for my set up. A few things about it. 2 stage NX kit. 2 arming switches, one for each stage. Throttle switch Fuel pressure safety switch Single Window switch: Can not take a large ground (like noids) so I am using it to ground the coil of the r...

Re: Help me on picking a carb..
Don't get confused on the 4150 over the 4500. I called to buy two carbs from Patrick, one for a 406 with 18X heads, made 681Hp...he sent me a 4500 1050 for it. I also needed a carb for my 388" (big bore short stroke) 18* motor and he sent me a 1000HP 4150 with "aggressive" dominator m...

Re: How accurate are the MSD RPM Chips
What are you comparing the chips to to check accuracy? I test every car that rolls out of my shop with an MSD tester...almost 100% of the time, the tach is wrong and the chips are dead on! I've seen tachs dead on at lower RPM's and get as much as 500 RPM off by 7500 and vise versa. Soooo....I will t...

Re: Starting on 24 Volts
I have wired several Nostalgia Funny cars on the 24 systems...basically as you show it using the big 24V relay designed to do this. You will still need to run it through the kill switch so EVERYTHING including the 12V stuff is dead when off.

Re: 16v system change-up
IMO the only reason to run a 16V system is in cases where an alternator is not an option! I run 12V with an alternator in my door car and 16V with no alternator in my dragster. I believe one problem with most 12V systems and alternators is the dual battery set-ups...most people do not run a big enou...

Re: Help with relay wiring!
I don't see what the problem is wiring the alternator directly to the battery outside of the main kill switch. If you're concerned about it in event of a wreck, put a high amperage fuse or circuit breaker in line with it. I agree John...this discussion has came up a lot on other boards...with a lot...

Re: Help with relay wiring!
Looking at everyones drawings, minus John's, I see some potential failure points that are not necessary. Everyone seems to want to put a solenoid in line of the MSD ignitions with their ign switch controlling this...Generally, we starting using these as a remote solenoid for the starter, and a gret...

Re: Help with relay wiring!
This is what I've come up with can i get some help here? Is this good for the switch in and out of the car? Though this set-up will work as far as powering everything, it would not pass tech the way the alternator is wired...essentially it is wired to the wrong side of the main kill switch. For it ...
