I have a 71 nova also, I'm running the QA1 coil over conversion kit with double adjustable shocks, global west TLC control arms, I have about 5 inches of front end travel. If you go with the QA1 set up and have a small block ...

Re: Are these tires the same size ?
Don't have an answer to your tire question but I wanted to tell you that when your running a 10 inch tire they will work a lot better on a 10 inch or 12 inch rim. I have same HP and weight and have run 28x10 and 28x10.5 on an 8 inch rim, then 28x10 on 9 inch rim with a small improvement, then I went...

Re: 60ft Consistency
I have not tried the stiff wall tires, I have heard that they are good on heavy cars. I would give the tire manufacturers a call and see where the weight break is that those work best fir if you are thinking of trying those on your car...

Re: 60ft Consistency
For instance this is my situation, my car and me race weight is 3200 lbs, I run hoosier 30x9 slick with the D5 compound, I leave off the trans break at 4800, power glide 1.76 first gear, 4.57 rear gear, I like to change my shoes at about 50 passes. Otherwise the 60 ft starts to vary more than a hund...

Re: 60ft Consistency
150 passes on that size tire is done even if they have tread left it doesn't matter the side walls are shot out for sure. Put new shoes on her and see a real improvement. If your car goes side ways in the burnout check and make sure you got enough wheel speed, if you got a 3 step bump it up another ...

Re: Mini tubbing ?s for 69 nova.
I have a 71 nova, I have moved the wheel tubs in just to the frame rails in the stock location, springs are in the stock location, I am running a 30X9 Hoosier slick on a 10 inch weld wheel with a half inch spacer. Shocks are inboard, rear is stock width, quarter panel sits down over the tire about 2...

I think it is a good idea also. At what point is the diaper required to be SFI rated diaper?

Engine diaper NHRA requirment 2011
I have been hearing that in jan. 2011 NHRA will mandate all cars running 9.99 or quicker to have an engine diaper installed. even in pro ET and super pro ET. Is this true?
