Guys, after a long time out the forum...we got the Chevette's Project finished...

Car is ready and showed on our display on the Brazilian Drag Racing Festival a couple weekends ago.

Hello All, That's a 91 Chevy Chevette that we are building a 3/4 chassis...that's for the Turbo Class, 2.0 liter 16 valve, 4 cylinders, fuel injected...the rulebook says to use Drag Dot Radial tires, Ladder bar suspension (4 link is prohibited), Dana 50 rear end and manual transmission. try to reduce that and try to keep it to a 1/2 or less Stiffening the rear shocks or trying a stiffer spring?? About the shocks, we tested a lot of set ups and the body's movement and tire slipping never changed as well... :scratch: My idea still is to use 125lbs on the rear springs...now it's 150l...

Jeff, I started with a 80lb spring in my car and ended up with a 125lb spring in it now and still need to do some more testing.. If the rear spring is to soft you going to try to control it with the shock setting. Not the way to do it IMO.. You need to find the correct balance between the valving a...

Im not to up on ladder bar but with a 4 link you don't want the chassis to move to much on the hit...I like less than a 1/2 inch of separation at the hit and less than a 1/2 sec into the run the back is under the ride height line for the rest of the run..
