Re: Flex Fan vs Electric Fan

If you go to an electric do it right. get a good fan (Spal), build a shroud, and make sure you are controlling air flow at the radiator support, a chin spoiler helps.

Re: Has anyone ever rear mounted a radiator?

Are you running an W/A intercooler? Just use the water/ice tank and plumb it to the motor. If not yes you can run a rear rad. You can flat mount it under the trunk floor. Depending on the rad size you will need 1" ~ 2" of clearance and a shroud and Spal fan. The problem will be with the fa...

BTM's do work. BUT remember they have a diaphragm and a backfire can rupture it.
Then you will have no timing retard.

Innovate, FAST, PLX Devices, all work well. Some data log some don't. Re: O2 Sensor Placement?

You may have to install an extension to the head so the O2 does not see fresh air.
As for heat we run them 18" from the turbos on motor making 1500 hp +.

Re: Sealing the combustion chamber.

Fasteners.

ARP rates their fasteners at 75% or yield. You can exceed this at no more than 10%.
At a greater tq value the fasteners become a one time use item and must be disposed after use.
Also if tq'd too close to the yield the fastener may fail during use.

Good luck.

Re: Sealing the combustion chamber.

Make sure your heads ans deck have a very low RA. Mirror surface. Fill the o-ring groove in the block with some dead soft copper wire and flat file to the deck. We prefer the FelPro MLS's. Before installing spray some copper spray or Hylomar between the layers and on the surface. Hang the gaskets ve...

Re: O2 Sensor Placement?

It need to be in the top half of the pipe from 9 o'clock to 3.
If you do not have a full exhaust it must be several feet from the end of the pipe or reversion and fresh air will create false readings on the meter.
