That makes sense.
Marty, I might be in touch with you for a couple new converters after we take these to the track and see how they do.

The GM one is behind a N/A 364" LS motor(th350), the Ford one is behind a mild N/A 351(C4). Both in 3200lbs. vehicles. I'm no expert, but I'd estimate both engines to make around 450hp or less. The GM has 4.56 gears and the Ford just got 4.88's, both on 29" slicks.

What can be done with a 9.5" converter?
I was told that 9.5" aren't really efficient at higher stall speeds. I believe and trust the source, but I want to know what can be done with what I have. I have two PI 9.5" converters, one ford and one GM. What's the most stall speed I could get out of them without them being crap?
