Re: fuel for nos system

Damn i am really late here big time, the 87 octane flashes quicker and burns faster rate and it acts like a blasting cap to TNT for the Alky.It accelerates the burn on it also. Alot like the 15% gas for the 85% ethanol.I ran my best with a toilet bowl on methanol and a 250 plate on gas now at the ti...

Re: NOS & EFI

Sorry i didnt see this sooner, 50lbs per hour is close enough to start but with a factory EFI set ups I wouldnt try to go much over 150 or 200 most with dry kits as you cant adjust each cyl. and its just general enrichment depending on the system you have. As far as to how much P/W do you go to adju...

Re: another alky question, hopefully the last

Onced you get it set right F/I is much better then a carb as far as maintance and you only need to...

Re: Ring gap

SuperNova, not sure who gappless you ran or what they were top or 2nd ring. You do however need to have the tune up close for them to work so dyno time is well worth the money to tune your motor.I made 28hp more with Total Seal top ring stainless gappless rings. It allowed me to run more jet in my mot...

Re: Ring gap

SuperNova your right with your ring gaps and I wont agrue the point, but he runs 100 now and on a 500 inch motor to add only 100 more he asked my opinion on pulling it apart and I said no if it were me i wouldnt. I didnt go into why and all about the second ring as he wasnt pulling it apart. His form...

I wouldnt pull it apart for only 100 to 200 hp of nitrous . I would run it ifit was mine, but if they are moly rings you could have a problem if you have a cyl. get to hot.

I really wouldnt try to guess as to what rings came in anyones kit. Hellfires are great rings but I would talk to Total seal on what you have and what you want to do and what gapless package they would suggest. You have to know the piston specs such ring width you have on all your rings and the what ...

Here is a little to add to the mix. Nitrous engines do require a larger ring gap on the top ring and you need to think of how much your going to use as in BHPs.. The only way a ring gap will increse is thru piston wall wear. For every .001 of wall increase you get about .003 in end gap on the ring. A...

I had a 10lb differance with a small CM driveshaft and a Carbon Fiber . I love the carbon Fiber and yes its expensive but when you get in my class 800. for 10lbs is cheap horsepower my nest move is carbo rear brakes and thats 12 to 13 lb differance. I used a carbon driveshaft in the mid 90's in my 3...
