Re: Compressor oil
Hi Marty, have you noticed any effect on converter slippage at the finish line after switching to a thicker fluid?

Re: Flash RPM?
Well after speaking with Marty a bit, I'm going to go ahead and put my other stator in my converter, he said it should flash a few hundred rpm less. We feel the one that's in there now is just a little loose for shifting at 7700-7800; I should know for sure pretty soon.

Re: Flash RPM?
The car actually is very mellow leaving at 3500 RPM. I pull 10* from 3600-7000, so that's another contributing factor to how the car takes off. I was planning on experiment with launch RPM last time out but had some other mechanical issues that preventing that from happening? On my friends naturally...

Flash RPM?
I launch my car at 3500 RPM and the converter flashes to 7000-7200. If I raised the 2 step to 5500 RPM would the converter flash less or more? and by about how much?

Hi Marty, what doe the raised lip at the end of a custom aluminum stator fin do to the converter stall, flash, or slippage?
Hope that makes sense,
Louis

Converter Flash?
I have a Chance bolt together 10" converter that will flash to 7000 and I want to change the rear gear. I currently have 4.10's and I want to go to 3.73 gears. Approximately how much do you think the converter flash will increase?
Thanks,
Thanks,

Re: O2 Sensor Placement?
I installed mine 14" up from the exit on the header extension. I haven't ran the motor yet, but from what I've been hearing is the only down fall to this is a possible false reading at idle.

O2 Sensor Placement?
I just bought a RPM Performance data logger and I'm in the beginning stages of the install. Could you guys tell me where do you have your O2 sensors at in your exhaust? The instructions say to put it 8" from the head exhaust flange. I'm wondering if I'll get a bad reading if I put it in the hea...
