jmarkaudio,
Thanks for the help! I was planning on bumping up on the secondaries as I thought that I should have pulled more MPH with my set up. I was not thinking that a hotter plug was in order, but I will try it. I'll keep the engin temp at 160 - 165 and report the results next time I'm out.

DOTracer, How do I translate this into tune up? Does this mean that I am rich or lean? From what I see on the plug it appears that the WOT is ok. The plugs are self cleaning and not glossy. The ground strap is showing the color line just past the bend closer to the threads. From some reading in the ...

Last week I tried the cool water/hot oil and found that 160deg was bad for my e.t. and m.p.h. I let the motor get to 180 - 190 and found that my m.p.h. went up 4m.p.h. and my e.t. dropped .2 Keep in mind that I'm just getting used to this motor set up, but I was making the same shift points and no o...

Basically the plan in to have an arming switch , WOT switch and the window switch controlling a relay. That relay would have the contact rating to handle the amp draw of the Nitrous system. Here is a question, would you add and emergency stop switch in this circuit to kill power to the nitrous syste...

Hello, I'm John. I'm married with two kids. I've been enjoying the pleasures of owning a classic car for 9 years. My car has always been a street/strip car. I'm pretty proud of what I have done with little to no money to invest. The car started as a 15+ second 1/4 car to a much quicker 12.80 1/4 car...

Thanks for the help. Being new to nitrous, my great fear is running lean. I checked the contact rating of the MSD window switch, it is only 1.5 amp. I will have to use the MSD to switch a relay with a much higher amp rating on the contacts. Since I do not have the nitrous kit yet, I do not know what...

Nitrous activation and timing retard
Hello everybody, Here is the scoop I have a 68 camaro that I drive on the street, but it seems to be migrating more towards the track with every year passing. My question is this, has any body run the MSD timing retard module with a MSD window switch? My plan is to have a nitrous system that I can t...

Everything that I have read and learned from guys that race is never use standard braded line for the trans coolers. The heated trans fluid over time brakes down the rubber. With this information, I used the -6 teflon braded line. If I remember correctly, it's not that much more than the rubber line...
