Rack and Pinion Steering
Has anyone installed a rack and pinion on their 57 chevy? I got one I'm building to race with some street use and I'd like to quicken the steering up without spending a fortune. It'd have to be rear mount and it'd have to match where the lower control arms rotate with where the inner tie rods are on...

Mech injection, I've run a Ron's Toilet forever, and this season I switched to a 2100 cfm terminator. After inj I'd never go back to a carb. I'm thinking, bird catcher on the next one, how's your combo run?

John that is one sweet nova, what class do you run? I see why you haven't tried that grid out yet.

Re: You and your ride... Post it here get to know everyone..
Great forum, John you are a great help on here. My name's Mike Colemire, I run a Spitzer 4 link dragster with a 582 BBC, injected on alky. It's been 4.50's in the 1/8. Next season I plan on building a 540, 8-71, with injection. I want to run some quick 8's and a pro outlaw series we have now. If my ...

Re: MSD dist cap
John, it's in the rear, regular location. It's an old crab style cap dist. It's got the plastic disc or whatever you want to call it that is held down with 1 screw that the rotor button attaches to. The screw wants to work loose so every so often I ck it and reloctite it. Bad setup.

MSD dist cap
Since I can't get a response from msd, I'll ask on here. I have a crank trigger dist with the crab style cap, I want to put the large cap with more spacing on it, does anyone have a pt no? I think it is the 7445 but not for sure. Also, what kinda wires do you all run with a dig 7 ign? I normally run...

Re: Question for John
I have a aerospace crank trigger. Only thing I ever bought from them that I didn't have a problem with. Might sell it with the engine and update to a MSD. You do a heck of a job on here, hope everybody appreciates it.

Re: Question for John
Thanks for the info, found a 7530T box on the classifieds but it's about the same price as new from the pro shop. I hear of them shutting down for 24 hrs, and I don't think I want that. I may just order a grid and if I need help I'll be talking to you. How much wiring changes would you have to go th...

Question for John
I asked about the dig 7 ignitions on here and I've been doing some reading on some other threads. I've heard you mention pulling timing while on the brake so I cked out the grid. It doesn't pull timing while on the brake and it is easier to set up according to some of the people that have used both....

Re: GZ motorsports new Mandrel
I had the new style break for no reason. Everything was still tight, spacers were still on the part that broke. Of course it trashed my pulleys and the belt for the vac pump. I had gilmer pulleys so it wasn't a tight belt issue. Not much help from GZ either. Was told it was a racing part. The regula...

7535?
Going to a different ign on my dragster, I now have a 7AL2. Now I'm running a 582, injected on alky, bbc. later I'm going with a 540, 8-71 roots, with alky. I was adviced to go with a 7535 and a HVC coil, my question is how hard are they to set up. I'd need starting line rpm control, rev limiter, re...
