thanks for you help! do you think 38 degrees total is a good ballpark? if my initial is too advanced it starts hard(slow cranking) thanks for any ideas fellow racers!!! mike

ballpark advance curve?

please help a beginner,,for a footbrake dragcar,383 chevy stroker,3500 stall, 6200 shift point. what would be a ballpark setup for the mechanical advance curve.,.,if you need more info please ask..,thanks in advance ,.,mike

distributor timing question

help! i am a drag race beginner. i purchased a 240z w/383 chevy stroker,builder was running nos, i have removed for now. question?? he has tack welded the weights in the distributor (no vac. advance). the normal advance movement now just floats with no control?? is the setup normal for nos? now w/o ...
