My third car in life was a yellow 71 Nova SS with black interior. 327/360HP motor, 4 speed, 10bolt with 4.10s, was one of my favorite cars I have owned over the years.
Those wheelie bars might be set just right if you put a 150HP nitrous kit on it.
Have fun.

Re: racing heads
Here's some entertaining video's I found on UTube about Aftermarket Aluminum Heads. You don't want to be playing these videos in front of children, very colorful language is used to describe the workmanship of mass produced aftermarket racing heads. If you watch all of this guys video's I guarantee ...

Re: Rookie help/ Advice 1968 Camaro SS
Man this topic is all over the place. I was going to suggest rubber motor mounts and front engine plate or atleast bat wings when you were talking about running a 454. Now you going to drop a small block in there. Convertor choice depends on a few things, give your cars weight, rear end gear ratio, ...

I use to ride a 1974 Suzuki TS-400 with an aftermarket pipe back in high school in 1976, they can be alot of fun getting air
Sometimes you need to take a break and do other things and then come back fresh, so you don't get burned out.

Re: My new ride
I take it you'll be running a couple Bulls eye turbo's, those guys have taken the Borg Warner Turbo's and made them tough to beat.
I'll miss watching the White Nova making 8 second runs but look forward to watching you set new goals/records with the new stang.

Re: trans fluid???
I use Type F in my self built T-400 and it's been in there for over 20 years now, the trans, not the fluid. Over 60,000 miles, over 500 pass down the 1/4 mile and I even towed my 18ft bass boat to area lakes 50 miles away in 95 degree heat for several years. Last time to the track, ran 12.68 @ 105.3...

Re: Fuel Pump
I called Holley tech and they said if I mount the pump upside down the gerotor would most likely have cavitation issues. What this means is the gas would get little bubbles in it as it moves through or over the gerotor which would cause the gas to boil, which isn't a good thing, and would eventually...

Fuel Pump
My Carter Fuel pump died on the way to the track. I'm wondering if the 10% ethanol had anything to do with it, they say for gas only. It's been on the car for 20 years so no complaints there. It's the 72 gph 7 psi street/strip one. I'm looking at the JEGS 130 gph on JEGS, it rated for gas and alcoho...

I found this at an $1 store over the weekend. It's called, Once Upon a Wheel. Hosted by Paul Newman. It's an old movie from the 70's I guess, I would classifiy it more of a documentry than a movie. Very little drag racing or cars are shown but alot of NACAR and CamAm and Indy cars are, and the way P...

If you are going to be notching the rear frame rails when welding in your weld in frame connectors like john did, PLEASE take alot of pictures. :D If you are putting on Cal-Trac bars you could just ask them to send you an additional bottom plate that will allow you to use the shock mounts on the Cal...

Thanks Beyond I saw that picture on your Nova site, was hoping to see how the frame was notched before you welded in the connector. Here's a link to a website that has some pictures of a Nova some of you guys might find interesting. I like how they modified the floor pan for extra exhaust clearance,...
