i used 15x8 with 5.5 bs and a 29x10.5 mt slick. you pretty much have to move the shocks at the least along with rolling the wheelwell lip.

you may redlight more often, the smaller tire will also be slower to trip the lights in the traps.

when we switched from a 3 speed to a glide in our 68 super stocker we didnt gain any at all, but when we then switched from the 456 gear to a 513 we picked up 7 tenths. we were running 30x9 drag radial slicks a 5500 stall 8 in converter and going thru the traps right at 7300rpm. car ran a best time ...

seal the sutds and see what happens. also you didnt grind thur to the port when you clearanced for the pushrods did you? if the port got thin it could have cracked and theres your vacuum leak. i had the epoxy fall out of a set heads before and it drove me nuts tracing it down.
