12 bolt disc brakes
Anybody know of a company besides wilwood who makes brakes for a 12 bolt with a c clip eliminator with an e brake. Someone suggested 98-02 camaro brakes, but I'm not sure if the internal e brake would interfere with the c clip eliminator. There are a few cheap companies, that have the e brake integr...

Re: Midplate mount
Hey Homers442, now that sounds like a good idea, but exactly how did you do that. Pics would be great, because I am a visual type of guy, unless you could paint me a picture.
What about if you just wanted to pull the tranny, would it be a problem? Thanks, Anthony

Re: Midplate mount
Interesting. Just out of curiosity, how come? Is it any easier to pull the motor? I am going to mount both plates in front of the mounts.

Midplate mount
How do you guys put your midplate mounts, with respect to the plate, the ones that weld to the frame. I put the midplate in front of the mounts, just because I think it would be easier to pull the motor, or are you guys putting the midplate behind the mount. Also using a front motor plate.

Re: Calculations ??
Hey Supernova, I'm kind of building a motor similar to yours, but it's going to be a tall deck 496(4.25x4.310). I always thought you couldn't get a 4 1/2 stroke crank in a production tall deck block, unless you have a dart block or something like that. Are those SRP pistons nitrous alloy? Just kicki...

Re: Motor Plates
Yeah, I do have a trans brake. So if I use a motor and midplate would a poly trans mount be good, and if I use a .090 steel midplate, the converter would be ok? Thanks.

Re: Motor Plates
I think the aluminum was 1/8 thick, but I'll probably go with the steel. What about the limiters, is the poly tranny mount enough, or do I need the limiters, and if so how many. About S and W, what about their roll bars, how do they fit. Not looking to spend alot, probably going to be a mid 10 sec c...

Re: Motor Plates
I was just figuring the aluminum would be lighter than the steel one. So if I use a .090 steel one, the pilot should be OK.

Motor Plates
Hey guys. If I am putting in aluminum motor and mid plates, and my converter just has the standard pilot sticking out of the front. What do I have to do, do I have to sent back to get a long pilot put on or can I just put shims between the converter pads and the flexplate. Also is a poly tranny moun...

Help welding
I am welding my frame connectors through the floor. As I was welding from on top with my welder(Hobart 187), everything was working well. When I tried to weld from underneath( inverted welding), for some reason it just wouldn't weld, the bead just wasn't forming, the bead would just clump up into a ...

Hi guys. What about putting frame connectors on a nova that has been sitting for a couple of years with no motor or trans. Concerned about the center sagging, I've heard about putting jack stands on the front of the rear frame where the front spring mount is, and another set at the most rear portion...
