I have used restrictors in everything!!!! And have had not one problem with the use of them. I even have them in my Dart block now. The only thing I do different is I drill them out bigger. Most if not all restrictors have a .060 hole in them, I drill them out to .100 for more oil flow but not flood...

IMO, Harry, if you build a big BB the blower will have less affect on it. Unless you are planning to run your blower faster or putting a bigger blower on it. with that said, IMO you would be better staying around or close to a 496-522 c.i. motor. How much does old blue weigh now with you in her? Mine was at 3656 lbs but should come in right at 3300 lbs with all the work we've put into it.....
