I hate to over simplify things but, jack the car up and spin the wheels by hand to see if you have a binding situation. Maybe you brakes are binding, wheel bearings etc.

Re: anti roll bar
I used to have to preload my 4-link to launch it properly. I put a antiroll bar in and I can launch the car with no preload in the bars, launches perfectly. Mine is a Chris Alston Bushing style bar. I would probably go with the Bears one or the Mark Williams pro bar. Its basically one floater axle w...

Re: brake lines and routing
I agree with putting the PV on the front brakes. Just curious, what size of calipers are you using front and back?

Re: crank gear/cam timing mistake
If you were too far advanced and brought it to straight up by retarding it you will loose some bottom end but you will pick up some top end. I always install my cams 4 deg retarded in drag motors so yours should work really well.

Re: crank gear/cam timing mistake
It depends on if the cam was way to far advanced or retarded. Advancing will help bottom end, and retarding helps top end. What ever it was to start with, you will have reversed the effects by setting it straight up. I hope that all made sense.

Re: crank gear/cam timing mistake
1/2" ? cam timing is usually in Degrees. Try degreeing the cam and you will see how much it is (or was) off. How come you went with a gear drive? A chain setup is way easier.

Re: 9" rear end
Just for future reference Mark Williams now makes a 35 spline spool that will fit in a small bore case.

Re: Data Logger Graphs
Yeah, the reason I was asking is I have been running a Lenco for years but never have had a logger on the car. I am putting one on next season and would like to gain as much knowledge as possible to help reading the graphs.

Re: Data Logger Graphs
Is it a Lenco planetary, or a gearbox like a Jerico?

Re: Data Logger Graphs
Regarding StickShifter55's graph.
Being new to data logging, I am also curious as to why the graph has two peaks at every shift point. Is that due to the time it takes to put the clutch in complete the shift and release the clutch again? Or is there another reason?

Re: 9" rear end
The Moser and Strange nodular cases are getting so cheap to buy they are almost the same as OEM cases. They are build from a lot better material as well. I would investigate that option.

Re: 6 point rollbar
I built as set of jacks from the ones you use to level a trailer. They are screw jacks that have slip tube as well for changing to different heights. I just welded some jamb bolts on the tubes to prevent them from wobbling. Then you can dial in the car with the screw jacks a perfectly level situatio...
