Re: Driveshafts

I'm looking to run in the low ten's, no trans brake and maybe a slight shot of NOS.
I asked my friend at S&W and he told me that I do not need a moly shaft. He said a moly shaft is not forgiving and if you nick it, it will let you know, as with a steel one, it is more forgiving.

Thanks,
Bruce

Driveshafts

Has anyone heard of or used a company called Shaftmasters, http://www.shaftmasters.com out of Michigan ? They will make a custom aluminum shaft for $265.00 or a steel one for 209.99. I'm needing a driveshaft and for those prices, I'm hoping that someone can give me some good feedback about them. Tha...

Re: 1st Gen Camaro Help....

You know what I completely forgot about, the bottom window trim being down in that area, so I guess, after my windshield is installed and I get the trim back on, I can work off of that as well. I also noticed that depending on how I align that panel, the gap between the front of the hood and my head...

1st Gen Camaro Help....

This is for my 69 Camaro but any 1st gen Camaro should be the same. What I'm looking for is kind of hard to explain but I'll do my best. The fenders are on my car, I go to install my cowl panel and notice the on the flat part that covers the windshield is a different width then the flat area's on th...

Re: Finally got her back together.

That's some nice looking welds.

I like that seat bar idea, I may have to try something like that to mount my fibeglass seat.

I don't like the floor mounting braces they tell you to use.

thanks again,

Bruce

Re: Finally got her back together.

Nice looking car.

I got a question for you, how is bar run, that you bolt your seat too and is it 1-5/8"?

I like that setup but can't see where the other end of the bar runs too.

thanks

Coil Spring Height

I'm using Moog 6308 (for a 6 cyl) coil springs in the front of my 69 Camaro, w/ a big block. I want the car to sit lower in the front.
Can anyone tell me, if I would cut off 1 link, how much will that drop it?

Thanks

Re: Hammer Tone Paint

Thanks for the help, guys. Adam, when doing the floor boards, can you get the paint to flow equally and give it a nice appearance without seeing any types of streaks? The area I'm doing is the floor section between the tubs, in front of the tubs and also the rear firewall. How comes everyone is from...

Re: Hammer Tone Paint

Adam has the Camaro, right? I saw pictures of it and it looks nice. Do you know anyone that has used it out of a spray can? What I'm worried about is using a brush on such a large area like the floor panels between and in front of the tubs and getting a decent look, so this is why I was favoring a s...

Hammer Tone Paint

After my issue with the semi-gloss black paint on the interior panels in my Camaro, I decided to possibly go a different route. Has anyone painted their interior panels with hammer tone paint? I've seen a lot of pictures of the roll bars/cages painted this way but how about the sheet-metal/ tubs, re...

Re: Slick interior work

Wait till you see the new boiler I was on from the start, Thermal Solutions, Solaris. Full mod, horizontal copper finned heat exchanger, 3:1 turndown, new control board, ranging from 300K to 1.5 mil. The smallest (300K) is about the size of a dorm fridge. It's my little baby. The guy that helped me ...

Re: Roll cage/ sheet-metal paint

Well here's an update. I used the rustoleum and it worked better and gave me the finish I wanted. Then have you ever thought, well I'll add one more coat to make it look good and then diaster hit's? Well it did for me. Something must have been in the bottom of the can that didn't mix right and it ma...
