I was thinking of keeping everything in the trunk like A friend of mine did on his 60 Pontiac.Keeps all the road debris etc off the pump too, cleaner look to it also since it is becoming more and more strip/street :mrgreen:

Steve Only thing is those straps are designed with the bend in them to mount to something, and My cell will be up on 2x6 rails so was thinking of something in the pic. Go down both sides and then drill thru the rail and attach with a nut and bolt. Plus it will be mounted thru mounting holes and atta...

When I called RCI the other day and asked them about the tabs they said they are for locating only, that in fact their new tanks they aren't on there anymore. The RCI tank i am getting is from ebay from a performance shop in tx. RCI sells a strap kit now for them,But I am thinking about just mountin...

You can seal small holes ( like screw holes ) and any end gaps with body seam sealer. You dont want any fumes to get in the passenger compartment even though the cell will be vented outside.You should let Harry make you a mount he said he works on heavy equipment I think your car fits that descript...

i thought there was a rule that the fuel pump couldn't be mounted in the trunk? i just thought i saw that somewhere any input on that You can but, you must have a firewall between the passenger compartment and the truck. Well it looks damn good! U did a nice job on it!. I see u have twin lines coming off? Two pumps?. Always heard wasn't a g ood idea to have 90's on the suction side tho :( Must be working for you tho! When u building my clamp? :D

Guys I am putting in a 15 gallon RCI aluminum cell and RCI said u can't use the mounting tabs alone to mount this still have to use straps? This will be in my full size car in the trunk and mounted on some 2x3 aluminum stock all the way under it on each side, are straps still needed in this environm...

Finally toasted my buick 9 3/8 ring gear sat after I just went 1.63 run before, and these rears don't have any aftermarket stuff ,so I am wanting to switch to a 9"... Now my car weighs 4550 with me in it so i need something that will hold up! Do U think the strange S case is strong enough or no...
