Cheap thing is to put a 440 crank in the 400 block makes a 451 and is supposed to work pretty well

Funny how everyone just assumed it was a Chevy.

That thing is cool.

Do the leaf spring deal, lots of classes to run and they work just fine,

Go check out Joe Calverts record holding Super Stock Mustang. he is playing in the land of 4-links and Ladder Bars and kicking but with Leafs

What kind of racing are you doing?? Index or Heads up?

how your car gets the tires out of the lights will have a big impact on how much benefit the tires are, I have seen guys go from 26" to 23" on a Super Gas car and not pick up much more than .010

Ya know I used to have a 69 Camaro (way back in the day :D ) that had ladder bars with a floater on the rear end with leaf springs. I don't remember breaking stuff with that set up. Do they still make leaf spring floater kits? Or did I just show my age? They probably still make them and yes you jus...

There are kits to put the Leaf spring inline with the frame, and you can tub the the car to take a 13x31 slick I believe with out touching the frame.

scroll down a bit and you will se one of the kits

If you are going to street drive it a 4 link is best, ladder bars allow no housing rotation so every time you drive into a slope at an angle it is trying to twist the housing or the tubes in a Dana60 or 12 bolt, I have seen many failures of the brackets where they weld onto the rearend. You can laun...
