Re: inconsistent fuel pressure
Actually you want to set it cold. As the liquid heats up it expands and pressures up the internals of the gauge causing it to read less than actual.
Just drain the liquid.
Just drain the liquid.

Re: inconsistent fuel pressure
I bet the gauge is liquid filled? Drain the liquid and it will read consistent.
Re: pump cam
Are you pumps set up properly, i found i had to go to a 35 nozzle in front with the 30cc pump to get rid of my hesitation. I tried a 50cc pump but had to back the squirter down to 27 to keep the crispness.

Re: caltracs VS ladder bars?
Ya, i know it needs to be lowered, hence the changes commencing this winter. I do not want to go real low like some guys, i dont like the fender skirt look. I would like atleast 2'' lower in the rear (at the tire) probably more. I guess i will see how it will hook this spring with some mods. I consi...

Re: caltracs VS ladder bars?
Ya, i was trying to hit the nitrous out of the hole, not a chance. Even on motor after a good burnout im peddaling bad. A better suspension will help but i fear it may still be a touchy issue. Some VHT should help though, gotta get those front tires up!

Re: caltracs VS ladder bars?
Could be, i have to find the other thread when he was doing it. It had better pics.
So because a 325 is a shorter tire, might a guy get away with it easier than a 315? Might need alittle higher than stock ride height though.

Re: caltracs VS ladder bars?
The 275 does not do the best on the street though, i need as much tire as possible. I am sure once i lower and have a decent suspension that the 275 would do better but i still think i need more rubber for those street jaunts. I will ba adding a VHT sprayer under the car aswell. I have those offset ...

Re: caltracs VS ladder bars?
Now keep in mind i have no problem going with higher than factory height as mine is pretty high now but i do want it lower.
Next question, how much rear body/frame difference from 71-72 to a 73-74 style if any?
Yes, i will be making my own caltracs too.

Re: caltracs VS ladder bars?
My mistake, the one i found has ladders with his 315's. ''I would say your right about getting the leafs out of the way with ladder bars, I could have made the leafs fit but the car would have sit higher than I wanted. I have 3/4" clearence to the inside and 1.5" to the outside, 315/60 15x...

Re: caltracs VS ladder bars?
Yup, looking at the MTDR might go bias ET street though.
I prefer the 325 over the 315, want to stick with a 28'' tire. I had a set of 315's awhile back, they are big!
I will be minitubbing. I think some guys with venturas have 315's without frame mods.
I will find some pics and threads.
