Re: Bent Valves, AGAIN?
Guys, sorry for the delay, I have a lot going on, my tools should be here today, dial indicator/base/calipers/cam checking gauge. I need to pull the water pump off and front cover to make sure the cam is straight up. I don't have the heads back yet. I talked to the engine builder and everything is v...

Re: Bent Valves, AGAIN?
The only valve that is bent is the Exhaust valve on the #8 cylinder. My dad took the heads to PA to a machine shop his friend uses. They are going to pull everything apart and check, the rocker arm had dings on both sides where the pushrod goes up in. Everything looks good so far. Now, I took a 6&qu...

Re: Bent Valves, AGAIN?
So if the Piston to valve clearance checks, should be at least .100 on Exhaust and .080 on Intake, then it has to be the valve to guide clearance making the valve hang open? Heads are going to a shop today, once they get checked out and all the valves checked, I'll put them on and check the Piston t...

Re: Bent Valves, AGAIN?
Ok, guys, here is the issue, so far that I see, I took the passenger side head off, and there is a clear mark where the valve hit the piston. What is the best way to measure the correct Piston to Valve clearance. I think the plan is to have the the valve taken out, fixed and check all the other valv...

Re: Alternator with Electric Water Pump
Thanks guys, I picked up a Moroso bracket, then for the bottom pulley I had to shim out the pulley, so I drilled out two nuts and 2 thin washers so I could line the brackets back up.
Thanks everyone.
Thanks everyone.

Re: Need Some Advise on the Drive line.
The Nova is a 1972, it has a 406, dart iron eagle 215 heads with a COMP 12-609-5 Cam, 750 double pumper with a Victor Jr intake. 4.10 gears, slicks are Toyo 28x9. He just had a roll cage installed, battery is in the trunk and a 5 gallon fuel cell. There is no back seat and just about everything that...

Re: Thanks For all your Help
It felt really good. I have a few plans that are simple, first is to lower the car. Then, start on the Carb, but there is a local dyno, I am thinking about going there. I should have put in a 4.56 gear vs the 4.10. I also would like to get a bit higher stall converter. If I can tune the car to an 11...
