Front motor plate question
At what point does a person use a front motor plate in a car with the stock frame? I ask because my engine builder thinks i need one. He says that with the power my motor makes it puts too much stress on the side of the block where the motor mount is. I keep telling him solid motor mounts are fine b...

Re: Gun drilled axles
I called moser today and was told not to do the aluminum center because of the power and weight of my car. I'm still getting the axles gun drilled with star flanges just because it doesn't cost that much. I think I will just have to get myself to lose some weight. Thanks for the info guys

Re: Gun drilled axles
I know i,m not going to lose 120lbs with just the center section and gun drilled axles. As of now my car is 3520lbs. I would like to get my car down to 3400lbs without cutting it up. The class i run in has a min. weight of 3200lbs and I would like to get a little closer to that with my car.

Gun drilled axles
I have 35 spline axles in my car and i'm thinking of getting them gun drilled and star flanges. Just wondering if anyone has done this and what is the weight differance. I just pick up a aluminum center section for a very good price. Just hoping to lose about 120 lbs from my car.

That would be nice. up here we race about 6 to 7 months. The long winter help with upgrades to the car. Like if it works out this winter it will get a new cage, rack&pinion, trz control arms and new paint.

storing the car for winter
Just wondering what others do to thier cars for winter storage? Drained the water out of the block. I put some junk wheels&tires on and put it up on some dollies just so I could move it around alittle. I'm thinking of draining the fuel cell this time only because I will not be using it next year...
