my afr's flow very good for a 23*, keeping the exact flow and cam numbers fairly tight . had them ported by mike at cfm performance. car ran 8.80s at 150s with a 28x10 tire at 3250#.
sounds like your combination is pretty similar and you are using as good of parts as i was.

Tentman,
I have a family and work obligation that weekend and can't make the Ozark shootout in July. I will be there in September tho.
So for tent tech advise, do you remove the canopy each time you take it down, or just leave it attached?
Thanks,
Novice

i ran a 509 factory block with splayed main caps and 1/2 filled with hard block.
it made 650 hp on the motor and i sprayed another 350 on the plate or fogger to it many times.
block worked fine. no core shift nor main web problems at all.

Hey Tentman,
I tried to buy and assemble my first tent and it messed up, of course.
How much do you charge for technical advise?
Your humble servant,

16-18 seems pretty high for a 3200lb car. I run 12.5-13 in my 28x10.5w's @3450 Oh - don't listen to Aitch O when he tells you how much to run haha... agreed, 16-18 is too much. it will burn the middle out of your tires and not put down a good contact patch. 9 is not enough, because the middle will ...

fast shane

it is nice to see that car make the improvements over the past few seasons. it has been on the urbanhillbilly dvds back in the nitrous days too.

here is a pic of it with the single 106.

both of those are some very good looking pieces.
i have had very good luck with the canfields and the afrs on my 23* 406. both ran high 8s to low 9s with a solid dose of spray in my 3300# boat.

Chop 1 coil off and stuff them in there. You will like the stance. And with that lightest 213 in/lb rate, you will have a much better stored energy than the short stock stiff ones. Then if you think it wheelies too easy, put in some travel limiters on your upper control arms. My alum head SBC with i...
