I would like to get this out of the way now so I dont have to worry about it anymore. I kinda know whats involved making a few passes and what not, but t...

New PB

Well after getting the converter tightened up I went 9.38@142 with a 1.37 60ft Friday night, and 5.95@115 to the 1/8th. The next pass felt like the car was on a pass but the car was going left with the front end in the air and was still skating around at about half track so that pass was only like a...

Ya definently no springs with a crank trigger didnt know you were running a crank trigger. The vapor out of the carb usually means the throttle blades are open past the transfer slot in the baseplate.

Re: BB vs. SB

Small blocks arent at any disavantage to a bb in my opinion. I run a baby small block thats pretty quick for what it is. Im working towards building what I would call a "real" motor. When I get that done I dont see why competing with anybodys combo would be a problem. I know of several ver...

Re: New engine problem.....just wont idle....dang!

Is the timing locked out? Or do you still have weights and springs in the distributer? It would be you have to light of spring or the wrong advance bushing in the distributer if you have a aftermarket one. A stock one wont have an advance bushing but will have weights and springs.

Re: Congrat's Don Erwin!! Broke Track Record at Ozark yesterday!

Congratulations to Don on the new record. Any hints on what the car might have weighed at the time of the record-breaking run? Also, congrats to Sam on getting the ultra-cool wagon out to play. 8-) I'm sure the crowd loved the car. Thanks Mike it was a blast to get the car out, Marty has ...

Re: howards cam/lifters? weird valve lash problem

If youve got a solid roller with that much lash all of the sudden something is wrong. Take the intake off and check the lifters is what Id do if it was mine.

Re: SCAT ROTATING ASSEMBLIES

I know some people around here who have converted to E85 with really good luck. I think one guy got a kit from Quick Fuel and put it in his Holley 850 on a stroked 440 Mopar it runs really good. My old crate LS7 had a good valve job and $60 worth of port work ( which we all know is nothing ) it mad...

Re: fuel pumps?

If you use a A1000 I would use a -10 feed thats what they recomend I think. And if it was me Id use a -8 for the return. You can call Aeromotive and they will tell you what you need to make that pump work if you want to. I run the A2000 on my car.
