Re: Leaf springs ?
The main leaf from a multi spring wont be strong enough to hold the car up, a set of mono springs are designed with the correct spring rate to give you the ride height you want.

Re: heading to the shop
Does that front horizontal bar between the stuts stay there? It looks fully welded in and seems like it would be in the way of the the front of the engine/radiator. maybe it just looks tthat way in pics. Car looks great so far.

Like said above as long as its upgraded you will be fine Ive installed plenty of 700r4s behind engines with a lot more power than what your building and they are fine. Its also very important to get the proper TV cable, brackets, and carb hardware.

Since Ive had both the CE and Lakwoods on 11,10 and 9 second cars I would vote for the Lakwoods as mentioned above the adjustment on the CE dont seem to work very well.

Re: 383 stroker ???
I would try to find 441 or 882 heads they have accessory holes in them and would be easier and cheaper to get and the old style intake will bolt on you can usually find a used intake at a swap meet for $50-$75.Good luck

Re: 383 stroker ???
There are a lot of better heads available older castings like 461,462,even 441 or 882 are probably better but being old they will need to be redone. I dont know what your budget is so I really cant recommend a head because you can easily spend $1000-$2000 on a set.The chevy vortech head is a good bu...
