One more vote for the solid roller.Dont worry about adjusting its not hard and just like everyone else said you wont be doing it all the time.Id take 383's advice call comp cams or better yet call Ultradyne (bullit cams) now I think. As far as pushrods dont buy any until you assemble the motor and u...

Nope, use a piston stop in the spark plug hole. Make sure you remove the rocker arms for the #1 cylinder if you've got your cam installed. don't want the valves contacting the piston stop as you turn the motor over!

IMO, that car may be way over-geared with 4.88s.

One of my sponsors is selling an additive they developed that replaces the properties that oil used to have when it contained zinc. If anyone wants more information, I can provide it to you.

IMO, I'd skip the hydraulic roller and go with a solid roller.

I dropped the intake off at the machine shop this morning. I asked him about elongating the bolt holes and he put a brick in a tube sock and smacked some sense into me He said that generally, zero decking the block would not cause this to happen. However, he's had some intakes come in that were just...

Canfield 215cc. The heads have not been milled or angle milled. My Vortec top-end lined up perfectly on this same block last season. Go figure.

Nope, brand new heads, brand new intake. Didn't have any issues with other top-end builds on this block. I'm gonna have my machine shop elongate the manifold holes a hair. That should do it.

Intake manifold holes won't line up

I can't get the damn holes in my Victor Jr. to line up with my heads. I had a hell of a time a few weeks ago getting this thing installed and I ended up cross-threading some of the holes. It's like I can line up all the holes on one side or the other, but not both. They are off just enough I can't s...
