Glass hood or gears

When I started this project with the 63 pick up, first time weighed it was a 59/41 split. Last time I weighed it it was a 55/45 split before I added 80-100lbs to the tail gate. I'm trying to get the truck down in weight to A) go faster and A) be a little easier on parts. With some recent mods, I hav...

Re: Nova for sale (Lots of pics)

Weird, I tried logging in and that was a no go. Figured I needed to re-register there. Click on the Register button and it tells me that the page was found but is no longer available. Tried closing the browser and retrying with the same results. Am I missing something or did I break it?

Re: Nova for sale (Lots of pics)

Thanks John, I honestly did not see that as I was looking in the subforums. I'll go ahead and put it up in the Classifieds. Then if you want to delete this post, please feel free. Thanks for getting me to open my eyes further :)

Nova for sale (Lots of pics)

I hope it's ok putting a for sale thing in this section. I don't see any other place to put it. I'm trying to help a buddy sell one of his Novas. Car is a 1969, 38k original miles (If memory serves) on the straight 6 with TH350 trans. Joey's uncle kept bugging and elderly lady for it, when she passe...

Thanks all for your input. Any more input. I am changing a bunch of things around right now and would love more educated info. Things I am in the works of doing: Front shock: Changing to a Rancho 9000xl that has a stroke of 7.1" I fabbed up some upper mounts and welded it up a couple days ago. ...

Dave, I appreciate your input. I have your DVD and I am trying to take as much away from it as possible. I do not have corner weights. I'll see if I can find a buddy that has them to weigh it though. I know I have a lot of stored energy now in the front. I was able to get a 17 3/8" long 240lb s...

Here is a detailed spread sheet showing all the times from this weekend. N20 passes are in Blue, only one was at full pressure. Red backrounded items are things that I feel were out of the norm and could be improved. IE the 11.2x N20 pass, I shortshifted 2-3 and only gained 19.x mph where even on th...

Here are all the passes we got on video.. Best pass on motor was 11.9x @ 113 Best (only decent N20 pass, lots of issues) was 11.28 @ 115mph spraying a 100 shot from the 60' mark. Tried grabing all 300 after the 1-2 shift but the fused poped in the direct port. http://73-ls1.com/63truck/track4-4/s......

Thanks for the input. Here are some videos from today. There were no changes. http://73-ls1.com/63truck/track4-4/sac4_5.wmv Truck has a truck arm suspension. Think of it as a 54" ladder bar. I made adjustable front mounts to compansate for ICG. Right now I have it in the upper hole. But there i...

I was at the track last night, will be there today and tomorrow.. Shocks are Comp 3-way adjustables all the way around. The first launch was the 90/10 setting and it topped out fast. Now they are in the 80/20.. Still topping a little bit. Weight was 3800 full tank with me in it (55% / 45%) then I ad...

Made some changes to clean it up a bit. Added a comment section.. The one thing I have noticed is it seems to get more inaccurate the further you get from the average. I'll be playing with it more to see if I can correct for that, but have fun with it for now and please let me know if you have more ...

ET Sheet / tool

The other night was restless night. As I laid awake, exited that I am going to the track in a couple weeks I started wondering, what will the truck run. I started to play with excel and produce a prety detailed sheet that I would like to get you feedback on. If you input your data, it does a lot of ...

I played with timing a bit on the dyno. So I think I have the most I can get out of it and still being safe. I have 2 gates.. One that the top is filled with scrap metal for added weight and one bone stock. I'm going to bring both and also try it maybe with no gate. (Weighing the 55/45 was done with...
