Just remember the shift pattern will be different. After years of driving my car my son hates the new brake for he keeps going into neutral after launch, he will get use to it. you can get a different shifter that will shift in the same direction as the old one. differeance is being a front or rear...

yeah your right on the flexplate sheild, not till 9.99 BUT if you run 135 mph you have to have it.

all depends on your combo. on one car we saw a increase in 2.5 tenths in the 1/4 by taking the exhaust off, whether the system was to restrictive or the weight differeance was the factor not really sure. on another car we saw no differeance so we put the mufflers back on.

check your valve springs, make sure they arent dead. if i know that the engine is not gonna be run for a month or more i back off the rocker arms so the valves are all closed.

had the same problem in a car i built the engine in, motor it ran great with a t400 and 4.88, car ran hard, but on the unit it ran outa rpms so i swapped out the rear gears for 4.30's and the car would only run on the unit, lost a ton in the 8th. i have the engine out of it now and am putting in bet...
