Re: Edelbrock nitrous controller on 4500 plate
Imagine that you're at the sink in your house, when you turn the water on just barely, the water flows right down the drain with no buildup in the sink. Now put something that partially clogs the drain, let's call it a "JET". Turn the water on again where it's slowing flowing out, again, t...

Re: Edelbrock nitrous controller on 4500 plate
Not sure what you're saying there - All I'm saying is you want to try and get the nitrous ramp to 100% as quick as you can and not spin.

Re: Edelbrock nitrous controller on 4500 plate
Your quickest ET's will typically be when you get to 100% as fast as the track can handle it. Since you don't race on a really well prepped track, how quick that will be will have to be something you experiment with.

Re: Edelbrock nitrous controller on 4500 plate
You won't likely get the results you're looking for attempting to use a 4 second ramp. There are numerous issues with that in addition to it being slow. I would think you would be able to get your ramp in by two seconds, the issue is even though you are pulsing the nitrous and fuel, you will start t...

Got us a new trailer
Well, not brand new, but it's only a couple years old. 32' Continental Cargo with dual AC's, hasn't been used much at all. I've been busy doing some rewiring, adding some shelves, putting in a generator slide and new Honda Generator and trying not to go overboard messing around adding stuff to it ha...

Re: Need tips to improve sixty foot on a sec gen Camaro
I'm not used to a combo like yours to guess at what kinda of ET it can possibly get, maybe one of the other guys will put their 2 cents in.
There's always more in them with work it seems, just getting the launch smoothed out might have a noticeable difference.

Re: Need tips to improve sixty foot on a sec gen Camaro
I would venture a guess it doesn't want or really need the front shocks to be full loose. How much tighter is something that will have to be experimented with. Overall you want the car as tight as you can get it but both dead hook AND not get upset down track on a bump. Wheelies are great for pictur...

Re: Need tips to improve sixty foot on a sec gen Camaro
Welcome to the site... I'd probably start around 12psi on those tires. As far as shock settings, probably best to start where you left off and see if the car wants anything different. I can't recall how many clicks those shocks have, are you saying your 4 clicks from full tight rear extension? If so...

Re: What's the next step?
With that gear ratio, it ought to hook in the dirt. And the rear moves freely with shocks at full loose, so doesn't sound like it's bound up. You won't get any separation unless you get some initial hook. What is the front end doing at launch? Is it moving up? Where are you racing this at? No-Prep, ...

Re: What's the next step?
I assume you've already worked with shock settings? Can you lift the rear of the car by hand any? Other than not separating, what's the car doing? Is it spinning at a certain point or something?

Re: What's the next step?
Welcome to the site..
What do you mean "can't get it to lift over the rear axle" - you mean you're not getting any separation in the rear? It's not planting the tire?
