Re: Return Regulators - Who is using what ? Whats the best ?
And this looks like the dual Aeromotive regulators the guy was using. http://www.aeromotiveinc.com/prod_imgs/img-15-1-large.jpg stroker1: I think that is the 2-port version of 4-port Aeromotive regulator I have on hand. John: This is carburetor stuff, so no more than 7 to 9 psi at the float bowl bu...

Re: Return Regulators - Who is using what ? Whats the best ?
Most guys I know with blowers are running a large fuel log with a Holley return style or BG regulator hanging on it. I've seen a car with roots style blower with 2 dominators, 1 fuel log, BG400 pump, and 2 return style Aeromotive regulators but don't know if they are the same one you have listed. T...

Return Regulators - Who is using what ? Whats the best ?
Ok, so I need some input: I'm running an Aerospace Components Ultra 350 fuel pump, with an inline 75 micron Magnafuel filter on the infeed side and another 25 micron Magnafuel filter up front. This pump flows just over 400 gph and is heating up with my current dead-head regulator and my fuel lines a...

Second trip to the track
Hit the track on Saturday and made a bunch of single passes. --> Best time of 10.84 @ 125 mph, 60' = 1.588 Overall I'm very happy - the car performed well and had no real problems at all, outside of some leaky acc pump gaskets, etc. Thanks to Al Alquire and Bill Creech for all the help at the track ...

I once welded my checking account to the Internal Revenue Service. Took years to get it unstuck. Never get creative with taxes.

Re: Looking for 29 x 14 slicks
Ok, an update.
I bought a set of Hoosiers, 29.5x11.5/15- 13.5 tread width - these just fit and are a hard compound with stiffer sidewalls...
Next step will be to see how they hook.

High volume fuel systems on the street
Hi all, Ok, so I installed my new fuel system and took the hotrod out for a spin. Got back to the shop and could barely touch the fuel pump motor. It was *hot*. I need some advice from folks who have already been down this path. :( To start with, I installed a high volume fuel pump to ensure I get e...

Re: First trip to the track
[quote="sc68z28 Nice looking wheels, I agree a little bit smaller slick will be better than any treaded tire. So it is a 3 speed trans, missing 2nd gear didn't help ET much at all. Your 10 sec pass is coming soon, then you'lle want low 10's 8-) Any plans on getting back to the track soon? Keep ...

Re: First trip to the track
Ok - I did the deed. I just ordered a set of new Centerline rims, Hoosier slicks, and a new set of Sportsman Fronts for the hotrod today. The old credit card is *still* smouldering.... I ended up going with Centerline Warriors (15x14") and Hoosier 18195D06 slicks. These are a 29.5x11.50-15 slic...

Re: First trip to the track
Harry, WOW that car of yours is sure clean under there :thumb: I should take lessons from you, I'm just not a detail guy  I have Aldan double adj rear coilovers w/ 160# springs. I've been told 140#s might work better, I don't really know?? So did you finish your wiring and shifter work? I'm a...

Re: First trip to the track
What rear-end, carrier and gears are you running in the back, and, what slicks are you using ? As long as I get a good matched set and the run-out doesn't get above 96 or so, I'm gold. I have two 9" Strange nodular iron center sections. For the track 4.11 pro gear, 35 spline spool. For the str...

Re: First trip to the track
Very NICE car Harry! I like it :thumb: ---Bill. Thanks Bill :) wow! I went for the nostalgia thing with mine but you went for hard-core, leading edge stuff with yours. Thats really a sweet build you have. I watched the YouTube at Irwindale and love that sound. That thing is beautiful and must be a ...

Re: First trip to the track
Thanks :) When I built the drivetrain I specifically consulted the NHRA rulebook, not wanting to arrive at the track with all this exotic hardware only to be turned away at the gate (so to speak). So everything is SFI and legal, so I don't think I'd have any problem with my drivetrain anywhere I tak...
