Re: Rpm drop at the shift
unless you have some suspension mods that you can do, you will have to take gear reduction out of the rear end. You only want to make 1 change at a time, so if you are going to tighten the converter you may want to do that first and see if it will go down the track with just the stall change. It is ...

Re: Rpm drop at the shift
have you dynod the motor? where is peak hp? I like to keep as much gear in the rear end as possible so you may need to tighten the converter. In a perfect world we would just drop the first gear in the trans from 1.8 to 1.5 and leave the rear end gear alone and tighten the converter. Problem is ther...

Re: Rpm drop at the shift
the power curve of the motor dictates how much drop we want on the shift, but 800 is ok as long as you do not run out of rpm before the finish line

Re: Compressor oil
Ams oil makes a synthetic compressor oil that works very well and it is available in several viscositys. For most apps we see the 20W being used (nitrous , blower or turbos that spool easy)

i hate to tell you we do not do the 200R4 race converters. If your not in a big rush (couple weeks) i could make an acception and change the stall for you. Marty

Re: Soft 60' Times-Help
if you are bracket racing, leave the p/g in it , for consistancy if you are heads up racing and only care about ET then a 400 might pick you up, but only if the chassis/tire can take that much hit , we are talking about a first gear ratio of 12.4 to 1 (2.48/5.00) . if it will take this hit , it will...

Re: Does engine size make a difference?
Sounds alittle loose. If you are 1/8 mile racing and you do not plan on running any more nitrous then 600 rpm drop is livable, but if you want to add more nitrous you will need to tighten the converter.
