Re: Compressor oil
I find this to be a very interesting subject. I have seen this talked about before, but not paid much attention to it. My current stall piont is approx, 4100/4200. What would be the approximate change in stall piont and is this o.k. for a street/strip app? Thanks p.s. I can give more info if needed

Re: Help me pick an electric fan..
The "extreme" black magic fan will cool your engine very well. Run a 160 thermostat and set the fan to come on about 180. After trying many fans this was the only one that realy worked. I also would run a high flow thermostat and drill a small hole to bleed air, while filling the radiator....

Re: PCV valve question
I run a pcv valve like yours, but into a small baffled catch can first(homemade) with a quarter turn drain at the bottom with a small long hose down to the frame. Only needs to be drained about every 500 miles or so. Even then I only get about 1/2 a tea spoon worth. This helps keep the valves cleane...

Re: Control Arm Bushing Replacement
For easy removal of control arm bushings; put a block of wood or some kind of spacer between the gap on the lower side, then clamp in the vice with out distorting. Then get the widest air hammer bit you have and make sure the cutting edge is slightly rounded/not sharp so as not to cut. Then push out...

Re: Converter help
Hi everyone. Last race of the year in Sept, 09, I had sold my 3800 stall and put in a 4100,in line temp and made a few other adjustments. This seemed to help my reaction numbers, and best of all my 60's 1.55 and a 7.21 1/8th! MADE MY DAY! Looks like with some work it will run teens maybe 00? Thanks ...

Re: where to start ?
Had no change with jets, in any direction. Started thinking that maybe I had some cam walk, so I put a solid pice of rubber(exhaust hanger) between front cover and the water pump and this reduced the problem. Then I replaced the HD front cover with a cast aluminum cover and built in thrust bearing t...

Re: where to start ?
This is a street/strip car and I need a power valve to be able to run it clean on the steet and at idle. The carb started out wiht a 4.5 pv and switched to a 3.5 and then a 2.5 and seems it the best. Right now it has 74/84 mains 34 ifr 70 iab with 3/4 spacer, it is all I can fit. John
