Re: Supra Hybrid converter
There's a gal that runs at our track, car has run 11.0x at 130+ mph, if she could shift it, I know it would run 9's. She thinks she blew up the spider gears last night. Whats it cost to put a th400 behind one of those mean 6 cylinders?

Re: What should I be using for rear coil springs ?
My Camaro is 3845 lbs with me in it.
Now that I'm thoroughly confused.I've not had a chance to scale it yet, so I don't know how the weight is distributed.

Re: Ed aka 1320 racer - Ban or no ban?
I've talked to Ed many a time on the phone in the last few years. He's a little rough on the computer, but still knows his stuff.

Re: Spring rates
Stored energy in suspension springs is of no concern in a dragcar ??? It sure is if you are running a small tire and you need transfer to hook it. My car came to life after installing Santhuff springs up front

Re: T-400 Vs Powerglide
You dont need a 4 speed to get them out of the hole. I am running a th400, 4.10 gears with the tightest 8" converter that ATI makes @ 3680lbs. I leave at <1500 rpms. Just takes a little suspension work.

Re: Converter......something is a miss......
I think you have trans or converter problems, leaving at 4400,only a 1.74 60ft, you were spinning or something was slipping. Did you see this combo perform as you say it did in the Camaro? I leave at <1500 rpms and go 1.3x 60ft. with higher gears and a heavier car and maybe a tad more torque :mrgree...
