Re: Quick Release Hub for Steering Wheel
Moroso claims this one is SFI 42.1 approved. I am reworking my steering shaft on the Camaro since I switched from the big block (which had fenderwell headers) to the small block (which has chassis headers), and figured I should replace the QD if I need to. Guess I'll call NHRA. Thanks, Joh...

Quick Release Hub for Steering Wheel
Hey guys, is this kind of quick release hub still legal at NHRA tracks? A buddy told me that this type is no longer accepted and that I must change to a splined type of hub.

Re: Nova motor plate--small block
Here are some pics of the motor plate I'm working on for my Camaro. I'm converting from BBC to SBC. I carved it out of a Comp Engineering PN C4004 rectangular aluminum piece. Still need to weld on the tabs to the crossmsmber. Let me know if you need any more pics.

Re: Fontana track rental spots are open 70 cars allowed.
OK, so I'm reading the requirements on the alternativemotoring.com web site for this event and I came across this under the " SIGN UP NOW " link: "TRACK FEE: $130 per vehicle (1 driver/vehicle). Due to noise ordinance, NO PSCA EXTREME OR PROSTREET type cars allowed ." and this: &...

Re: Fontana track rental spots are open 70 cars allowed.
Are there any restrictions on what type of car you can run for this event?
Fontana typically runs the NHRA Street Legal Drags (ie: street legal car, proof of insurance, mufflers, etc.).

Some day I'll write about it. Thanks again for the welcome. Welcome to the site, guys. Nice cars! :thumb: Lol - we...
