body mounting

I just weld tabs with bolt holes to the body, and the same to the chassis so that you can bolt the body to the chassis. I usually do 2 in the back were the frame rails run into the tail panel, one on each side at the rocker panel fron and rear and at the top of the main hoop on each side, then one on each side at the windshield post's. I do this while the body is on the chassis before it is taken off the jig. That way everything will line up after the body work.

If I were in your postion, I would have added mounting brackets onto the tube frame to match up with the original mounting points for the body that you currently have.rich wrote:how to mount a steel body to a tube chassis
