Traction help

#1 Post by 78 C10 » Fri Feb 20, 2009 10:05 pm

Im trying to make my 78 C-10 to hook up without going the 4 link route. I have a set of cal tracs and a locker currently blowing the tires off into 3rd gear. I am currently running 295/50-15 street tires. I know I need to upgrade tires as a first step but dont know if I should go for drag radials or a set of DOT street slicks of some type. What can I do to help this problem?
My lug nuts require more torque than your Honda makes.

M/T Drag Radials - they're going to work better then the DOT street slicks.

I have never used drag radials before. Will they make a huge difference over street tires or just slightly noticable? I plan on going to the strip for the first time this summer and I am trying to get prepared.

I've never used them either, all I know is you have to watch it as those Drag Radial guys are kinda weird

Should be a huge improvement over street tires.
