anti roll bar
i have seen anti roll bars on 4 link cars. im converting to ladder bars and need to know if i need to retain bar. my chassis guy says i dont need it. any thoughts? thanks john
Are the 4 link mounts going to interfere with the antiroll bar mounts? If not, I think I'd try it both ways, what can it hurt?

I think it depends on the power. A high powered car can benefit from the roll bar IMO. Its hard to put a number on it, but I'd say anything over 2900 lbs that 60's in the 1-teens could benefit.

Anti-roll bar
I agree with David. I have had great success with anti-roll bars on the faster cars. I also agree with the range of speed and 60's. I have found that without the anti-roll bars the cars needed a pretty good amount of pre-load. After installation the pre-load can be removed and the cars launched like they were on a rail. Plus you said you had one already, if it's there I would just keep it.

Anti Roll bar
As Dave said if your car is getting into the teens for 60 foot times your definatly shocking the tire hard enough to warrant an anti-roll bar. I would say 1.20 sec and faster 60's would like one.
ANTI ROLL
THANKS FOR THE REPLIES. YES THE MOUNTS ARE THERE BUT THEY ARE OUTSIDE THE FRAME RAILS AND IN THE WHEEL TUBS. WE REMOVED THEM FOR TIRE CLEARANCE. THE 4 LINK AND ANTI ROLL LOOK HOMEMADE. VERY NICE WORK BUT NOT A KIT. IVE THROWN TO MUCH MONEY AT IT FOR NOW SO IL TRY WITHOUT IT. WE CAN ADD ONE LATER. THANKS JOHN

Anti roll bar.
Good idea. The roll bar torsion links should be located at the housing mounts for what ever type of suspension you use. If they were outside the tub I wonder what buddy was trying to do.

Roll bar
That should have been " outside the frame "
