Which side to mount front fuel cell for best launch ???

#1 Post by cudabin » Mon Mar 30, 2009 6:58 pm

Trying to decide which side to mount my front fuel cell as i am switching to belt drive pump and Ron's Terminator Alcohol set up. 4 gallon cell s/b 40 lbs full.

I thought the passenger side so as to equalize the front wieghts as drivers side is 62 lbs heavier, but then I thought maybe the drivers side to counteract the torque that picks left side up???

Advice please!

Thanks,

Arnie

I have mine on the passengers side just because it has a shorter line to the pump, and there was more room there.

Almost always seem them on the right front, can't remember seeing one on the left. I suppose everyone is thinking that's a good place to help get some more weight on the right side to counteract driver weight.

This is a bit off topic vegaracer, but all this time I thought you were running a blower under that hat. Silly me. Nice build :)

When my buddy put his Camaro on alcohol his cell was in the center. He made his own cell and mounts maybe thats why he put it there.
