Chassis/cage cert. price

#1 Post by 68 chevelle » Sun Apr 19, 2009 9:28 pm

What are you guys getting charged for chassis certs. I was told that the price around here just went up to $260.00. Three years ago it was $150.00 I think nhra is getting too carried away with the prices of license and chassis recerts.IMO

Around here a chassis cert is $100-$110 I paid $100 for mine. I cant see why they would cost more in different areas. Mine is just a 8.50 cert does a 25.5 cert cost more?

I went to the divisional races in march here and got mine done for 75 bucks also. But I do know from the first time I had mine done, we got 10 cars together because we had to pay the nhra guys per diem and milage and it cost each around 150 bucks. My suggestion, go to a large national event or points race, I believe nhra states there will be a nhra chassis tech guy there. You could also contact your local nhra division office or website and find out who the chassis tech guys are in your area and then call them to see if you can split some of the per diem cost with another racer/racers.
I am not really sure what the question is, but I am pretty sure the answer is Big Block.
